Some posts back I asked if anyone knew why TRP has fallen so far so
fast. Then I saw a brief comment in the G&M saying that the problem
was competition coming with a new pipeline and American dollars.

Today there was an article in the G&M called "Africa burns, Canada
fiddles". Anyone with money in a company that has interests in
Africa should read it. It gave me another part of the puzzle for
TRP's precipitus slide. According to the author "TRP and Ocelot Int" have the multiBILLION (caps mine) dollar Songo Songo project.
According to this author who used to be a Canadian diplomat
responsible for commercial, trade, investment and
develoment assistance in Africa, Canadian projects across Africa
are at risk and may already have been shut down. As I know from
the diamond threads many projects may be a write off. If Songo
Songo goes up in flames the companies involved will take a
terrible hit in terms of value.
