I noticed that AMD's management actually scored higher than NSM. Does this make the entire report suspect?

Fred,

I see where NSM/Cyrix finished dead last in Semi innovation according to Fortune.

They are talking about the Cyrix that led the way to the sub-$1000 PC, the sub-$500 PC and the sub-$300 PC? The Cyrix which introduced the fully integrated microprocessor/chipset and will introduce the first PC on a chip? Not to mention the wireless web browser?

Of course Cyrix is competing against Intel, which has used the same CPU core for over four years, and a grand total of two new cores this decade.

It is totally obvious to me how Fortune came up with their rankings.
