Shark: I have found in the past that volume analysis of Nasdaq
related stocks has been fruitless, because of the double trades by Naz mm's.

Sometimes a Naz mm will fill an order through another mm because
he doesn't want to take the trade on himself. Other times he fills it himself. This leads to distortions in that data, and the RUT has a lot of Naz stocks. Trying to figure out which trades are double trades probably could be attempted, but it is easier to stick to NYSE stocks.

Shark, btw, here is an interesting article that was written a couple of years ago about Birinyi:

anasazi.umsl.edu

He was bullish throughout the July - October correction last year,
but I think his idea of tick money flow analysis of stocks is sound at key market turning points.
