I hate to put it this way, the same way you become the butt of many jokes here.
Fuchi, I , and also Jim, and of course others, were on *P* board, and we all enjoyed peacefully exchange of information and ideas. Then we all found INTERNET, and the SI. A well respected gentleman and doctor, Badshah, started the Cyrix board. The board was useful, and courteous, except for a fellow named deedle. He would exchange many heated words with Fuchi. In retrospect, deedle was probably a disgruntled Cyrix insider, or someone who was fired there, who actually provided inside info but nobody believed him. In any case, deedle left when Jerry the founder of Cyrix departed.
Then came the flies, led by the lord who relishes butting with terms like "cringe." Cyrix board, and then the AMD board, became just about unbearable for people who want a place to peacefully exchange information. As you know, the flies would swoop down on anyone who dared to offer positive information on Cyrix or AMD.
Fuchi was one who dared to swat the flies, and who pi**ed on them. (Have you seen the pi**ing link, which was Fuchi's response to the flies) With the up and down movement of Cyrix, and later NSM, and also AMD, Fuchi was consistently and persistently attacked by the flies when the stock was down, like now. Due to I think Fuchi's way of counterattack, and the flies tipping off the webmistress, Fuchi was chased off the SI. He did come back under different disguises, but I don't think he is posting anything here anymore.
Fuchi was a master of computer knowledge, and knew exactly every component you need to configure your computer, and he was kind to help anyone who asked for assistance. But he was no match for the flies in term of the ridicule the flies inflicted on him. In any case I wish him well, and wish he would come back soon.
You might have noticed, persons of knowledge and integrity become subjects of flies' attack. One notable person is Tad LaFountain, who is becoming such a subject, just because he has a positive outlook on the long-term fortune of AMD. You might also have noticed, the Lord of the Flies has initiated the attack, and his fellow flies are following the pack.
In a way if Jerry should leave, some of these flies who were fired by him (also called early retirement) would have their revenge, like deedle did, and go away, and leave us in peace. But that's purely wishful thinking.
Did you notice that when I posted some tongue-in-cheek comments recently, I was immediately attacked by name-calling.
I am in trouble now. That's OK; I just disappear.
