Tip, that is exactly what I've been doing. When I have to pay 30% for a short term out of the money put, I am not going to play. The risk outweighs the reward. That is why I haven't pulled the trigger this time around on the internuts. Last year the premiums were high on the IIX, but not nearly as high as they are now. The truth is, calls make more sense for high priced options, as they have unlimited potential. With most puts, the fact the stock can only go to zero is not a limiting factor. But with these pricey monsters, it definitely is.
