Hey LindyBill, how's that zoot suit of yours?

MSFT usually trades UP through the day of the split and then up further for another week after the additional shares have been delivered. Many, therefor, will be taking profits DURING THE WEEK after the split date (i.e., the week after next).

The big variable this split that has me thrown off a little bit is the timing of Q3 earnings a short 22 days post split. This may or may not keep the selling pressure at bay until earnings release, it's a tough call.

One thing is for sure, and that's that there will be a short sell off at some point during this time frame. The big question is when. My gut tells me that it may come it two brief sell offs rather than one extended period of selling given the relationship of split and earnings dates.

One thing is for sure, MSFT will recover from any selling pressure during this period and move on to new highs. So for us long termers, all this babbling of mine is really pretty meaningless.

So, what was your question???
