MKTY (Mechanical Technology) has been doing well lately, especially since they signed their distribution agreement with GE for stationary residential fuel cell systems. They have applied for a NASDQ listing and should be moving off the BB:OTC soon. The move to a "better neighborhood" should keep them "movin on up".

ERC (Energy Resources Corp.) is in the process of spinning off their battery segment of the business (Evercel) so they can concentrate on the development of fuel cell technology. So far they seem to be an R&D company that relies on grants and research contracts more then a solid fundamental business. It's speculative but they've been through a valuable learning curve field testing their equipment, especially their Santa Clara(?) (it was definitely in silicon valley) tests. They seem to be niched in the larger power plant market.

Have any of you checked out Powerball www.powerball.net? This one is more in the one man with a dream garage category, but coupled with the UH research who knows????

Ken Check out Global Thermoelectric, GLE on TSE. They are working on stationary power fuel cells, in small sizes for eventual use as power sources for cell phone repeater stations and cable system booster power. They have zero market value for their fuel cell development, as they have $15 million in revenue from their existing business.
In fact they will be the first company in Canada to demonstrate a fuel cell running on natural gas. Ballard cells have only been used with pure hydrogen.
