He compares 11 categories. Gives MS the edge in 6, AOL in 3, and rates the other 2 as a toss-up, including -- amazingly enough -- "Server and OS software". (I guess he's been listening to those speeches by MS on the courthouse steps.)

AOL has been acting like a reborn tiger lately.

Yes it has and to top off the normal rise in share price, the S&P 500 decided to re-weight the index because AOL had grown so fast since being added to it. This caused another bout of fund buying last week and accounts for about $15 additionally.
