>>>>>>Intel bought Chips and Technologies and Micron bought Rendition

At least Intel MIGHT do something with their purchases. So far the Renditon deal has produced a lot of happy people -- all of them worked for Rendition and made a lot of money from being purchased. So far the deal has produced no real design; but there is always hope?

Speaking of Mortal Combat, and this is not a for or against Midway post just an FYI
and BTW....Midway produces Mortal Combat....

Midway is rolling out a product called "Wave Net." Wave Net is the first networked arcade network in production currently. They use games like "California Rush," a car racing game and Mortal Combat (not currently running, but possibly in the future). The idea is that someone in California is going to be able to play Mortal Combat against someone else in Colorado or New York. This is not done over the internet, but over a private line network.

So far they have networked much of California, and are starting to branch out to other cities. Overall, it is a revolution in arcade gaming. Personally, I am not throwing a cent after it, but it is something different and worth a note.
