Hi Hutch
I need a TA fix. I took it as bullish..very bullish..that the xau
didn't tank but appeared to go up a bit after the announcement by IMF.
I also found tietmeyer's statement about credibility and gold a slip up..Don't know if you saw that quote.(
"The gold is part of (the IMF's) standing, its credibility,''
Tietmeyer said. ''That is why you have to be so careful with the
issue of gold sales,'' he added.")
It seems that there are no weapons left to threaten the market with..
Also with At and T floating that paper..wonder if there will be more
competition for US treasuries..wonder if Greenspan anyways will be forced to keep interest rates low and people will start talking about inflation.
I had a rude awakening this afternoon. Somebody from MCI called me.
She is located in Tennessee. She said that she and her friends have
never had it so good. She thought the economy was doing gang busters..she fed me the line about budget surplus which I said no no
to..but I told her I was happy for her that she was prospering and
that so were her friends..since so many of my friends and acquaintances are working harder and harder..
ps As for THAT woman..why bother
