Did you volunteer during induction?
Nope!! I did ROTC for Mother, the Flag, and Apple pie. Also the $50 a month which I needed. ROTC got me out of NG transfer problems when moving to Indiana from Utah in 1966. VN wasn't really on my radar screen at that point. In my mind, it was one of those small conflicts.

Fort Rucker!! Can you say Lyster Army hospital? Can you say
U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Center? I was stationed there
75-79. I moonlighted as a disc jockey at WOOF (Dothan) and WIRB(Enterprise). Also worked at Andalusia as a Med. Tech.
We used to go to Georgia get a plastic gallon of local brew and
hang out at the Dothan mall (love them blue laws). Gorgeous area
and I almost stayed when I ets'd. Small world.
