I believe it is without a doubt faster, and if I remember correctly, you still have outlook, but i'm not sure it's exactly the same. Whatever it is, it transfers over anyway and you are all set!

:-)

Bob, FWIW... ie5 is two or three times faster. Makes me wonder if I had problems with ie4 and was unaware. No problem with Outlook either.
Very pleased!!

regards

A.G.

Bob, yes it's much faster. I just downloaded it from RCN.com
this morning and am using it right now.

rcn.com

Oulook Express is enhanced too.

I use RCN as my service provider also. Much better service than I had with AOL. Very rarely ever get busy signals. I think it is an East Coast only provider right now though, with the exception that they are also in California. They bought up Erols, and 3 other ISP's so I am actually on Erols. RCN is actually 2 times as fast as AOL ever was for me too.

From an investment standpoint, I own RCNC in my IRA. I picked up a few more shares on Friday too in my individual account. This new offering of IE5 from MSFT, has me thinking me that these guys are preparing to do battle with AOL/NSCP. RCNC has performed really well for me as an investment and I have switched everyone in my family over from AOL to RCN in the past 6 weeks.

The download of 5 is well worth it. Sorry for the rambling, but I could not tell where you were in the U.S. by your profile, and thought you might be interested in RCN as an ISP as well. They are also cheaper than AOL. It's a no-brainer. Faster, cheaper, no pop-up ads to close out, dial up or cable access, and it takes about 10 minutes to set up and open an account. RCN has a fantastic tech support team also. Very readily available.
