Is this news? March 19, 1999 TELECOMWORLDWIRE via NewsEdge Corporation : XIOtech Corp has launched MAGNITUDE XL-2800, an entry-level network storage system. The product, which is based on XIOtech's REDI (Real-Time Data Intelligence) storage architecture, integrates a fibre channel switch, an intelligent RAID controller and a logical volume manager to provide performance in excess of 100,000 IOPS, which the company says is 10 times faster than the performance of traditional RAID designs. The base drive capacity of 288Gb can be upgraded to over 1.6Tb in a single cabinet and the fibre channel connectivity can be increased from four to eight ports. The XL-2800 is available immediately for under US$0.29/Mb.
