Re Fed Ownership:

Hi Md...

I do not think we need to jump to conclusions about nefarious plots.....actually, just the fact that the Fed is privately owned is upsetting to me as an American citizen....I thought that the Fed was owned and operated by the people.....

Anyway....the response to Hutch indicates that the Fed is a privately owned company, but that the shares are held by a number of banks so the influence is not concentrated......

To be honest, I think the response to Hutch is designed to confuse....

"So, indirectly, the people of the United States "own" the Federal Reserve. "

"Direct ownership" and "having influence through appointees" are very different. If you think about it I think you will see. "Having influence indirectly" cannot be construed in any way as ownership.

I will let you know when I get more info.
