Tang, I remember a few months ago, one of the thread regulars said he went next door to help a friend with a computer problem.

He learned that his friend's teenage daughter had 76 friends on her Instant Message/Buddy Chat list.

The next day, he bought shares of AOL, convinced that teenage girls across America would get hooked on ICQ.

Well, he was absolutely right. But I told him in a post that I, too, use ICQ, more than I'd like to admit. Keep in touch with a pal in Seattle (I'm in Hawaii) and other folks right here.

If that put me in a category with teenage girls, well, I can't deny it. It's addicting. ICQ, that is, not being in a category with teens.

Using ICQ as a major magnet for future revenues...it'll be entertaining and profitable to see what Case and the Gang of Genuises at AOL come up with over the next few months and years.
