Red: No. I never even saw him - his stuff was all over the yard though. It was a long time ago. I still live in the general area, but not the same house. Arthur Miller was another neighbor back then - he was a lot more "visible." I literally bumped into him at the local ice cream shop. He was behind me in line. I had just gotten my cone and was turning to leave, when some kid pushed by me knocking me back into him. I lost the cone - Miller bought me another one. Look out Marilyn! <GGGGGG> (Now, I'm laughing)

If you like mobiles, there's a guy in my area named Tim Prentice who does kinetic sculpture. He was kind of a protege of Calder's I think. I like Prentice's stuff much better - he can make metal and plastic look like blowing prairie grass. I think he does mostly small shows and is not very well known, yet. You made me think of him because the one ongoing display of his work that I know of is a piece entitled Red Zinger.<gggg> It's a huge hanging salamander- like thing made from red plastic industrial scrapers and hangs in Bradley International Airport in Hartford.
