Thanks! I'm VERY eager to learn more about this new marketing hype they talking about here. I'll pass along everything I can. Now for today's update... Registration was interesting, I was issued a "credit card" with my name, job and company then handed a very nice backpack (novell branded and loaded with goodies inside). Then I had to schedule some sessions to get some news and insights...well, guess what, there is a working version of DIGITAL ME for us to use here. I walked over to a group of PCs, swiped my card and was authenticated and served apps for me to do what I needed to do. It was amazing! They have Digital Me plastered EVERYWHERE for what they call "Novell Connecting Points" -- stations where attendees can do email, video-conferencing and web-surfing. By the way, my first session is entitled "Technical overview of Digital Me". There's another session called "Digital Me, Whenever!" and the speaker is Scott Lemon (Product Visionary) as the abstract says. Yes I will be taking MANY notes. Here's what the abstracts of the sessions have to say: An Overview of digitalme Speaker: Carrie Prewitt, Product Evangelist Managing information that you give about yourself to websites and other individuals over the internet is a growing challenge. You are constantly being asked to "sign-up", provide information and remember passwords for various websites. By leveraging NDS, Novell's digitalme initiative provides a new paradigm for establishing an identity on the internet and managing and protecting your personal information. The digitalme initiative also provides new ways to share info and collaborate with others. This session provides an overview of the digitalme initiative. Any system integrator, ISP, educator, consultant or developer will find this session valuable. digitalme Whenever! Speaker: Scott Lemon, Product Visionary All of us walk the fine line between being accessible to the people we need to communicate with and not having our cell phone or pager go off 24 hrs a day, preventing us from getting any work done. By leveraging the power of NDS, Novell's Appropriate Messaging product initiative makes it easier for you to manage how people communicate with you at any given time of the day, depending on where you might be. This session is especially valuable to developers and integrators who are looking for new opportunities to serve their customers. More later... Peter J Strifas
