From Yahoo?

>>GEnie says: AOL-IDTC Partnership

fact: the GEnie services will be relaunched in 30-45 days. fact: the GEnie service "was" the original online service that got squashed by AOL, MSFT, Prodigy, etc.

question: will IDTC launch GEnie as a competitor to AOL? why would IDTC do a deal with netscape on net2phone if they are about to launch GEnie and compete with AOL? why lauch GEnie, a very very expensive undertaking, if its just going to get squashed by AOL?

answer: i do not know. but i will say that the more logical scenario is that GEnie is in a partnership with AOL; the less logical answer is that GEnie is a competitor of AOL.

speculation: GEnie will be launched to a targeted micro-niche market, with the help of AOL and the media partner. the micro-niche could be anything. if the media partner truyly is disney, start thinking about GEnie as part of a Disney-AOL-IDTC partnership aimed at internet service for kids.

thinking about selling at $25 per share? think harder!
