Valueman,

Thank you. Interesting link. I was unaware of CONDOR.

Long live FORTEZZA (?). Seems to me that someone (Atmel & Litronic perhaps) is doing something with FORTEZZA on an ISO 7816 smart card in conjunction with US Government. Smaller form factor than PC card particularly if ETSI mini SIM form factor employed. Just thinking out loud about 3G in Europe where a SIM will remain part of the landscape I'm told.

Glad to see BAM involved. Maybe there will be a day when I don't have to enter a PIN on my authenticating BAM Qualcomm dual mode (AMPS/CDMA) phone when I wander into one of their high fraud areas.

BTW: BAM has done a GREAT job of their digital CDMA buildout of the Northeast, and I've roamed all over the US with this excellent phone (which I have dropped more times than I can count in the 18 months I've had it) and their great one rate plan. Occasionaly the boss is with me and he is dropping calls all over the place with his AT&T Nokia "POS" on AT&T's one rate plan while I stay connected.
