Here's an interesting quote from their third GDC report:

"Quake 3 was everywhere - at the Matrox booth on a G200, at the ATI booth on a Rage 128, at the S3 booth on a Savage 4, at the 3DFX booth on a V3, and of course at the nVidia booth on a TNT2. I didn't see all that much difference between all the cards. They were all at different resolutions of course (the max possible that will work w/o chunking), but as far as I could tell, this 32bit vs 16bit argument is a bit overblown."

You can see the rest at:

Here's a more full featured write-up on ceBit. 3dfx is shown in a much better light than the other, brief reports that I've seen. Note that the reviewers talk about the xcitement the V3 is causing:

Anyone else try the Kingpin demo? I downloaded all 110 MBs (thank God for RoadRunner) and gave it a short spin. It looks pretty promising. The demo is only an alpha, so there are some rough spots. I'm looking forward to playing it some more.

I'm also going to try out Daikatana...eventhough Chip seemed to hate it.
