Bill, I am not boxing positions. To illustrate:

Let's say I have $20K in my account.
Monday I buy 1000 shares of Dell in MB Trading (I am now margined fully)
I hold them overnight.
Tuesday I sell the shares.
If I buy them back on Tuesday, I will get a Fed call from MBT.
But, I might want to buy them back.
So, I buy them in Cybercorp.

It's just the way they calculate margins in daytrading accounts. To my knowledge, both Cyber and MBT do this.

I did not bring this up in order to show how to box positions.

Hope this clears it up.
