ON LUCENT
"Lucent will be a key competitor in the carriermarket, but not in the enterprise."
Says it all if you know what to listen for>>

Lucent probably has at least one G1, G2, or G3 switch in over 70% of the mid to large size companies in this country. Supporting these switches is a lot harder than supporting a dumb router. If they develop anything close to a decent router, they will be very formidable. And, they will have no problem rolling the router sale into the existing PBX lease for each customer, at very favorable terms. Don't underestimate Lucent in the enterprise.
