Hi K,

Dell started a venture capital firm, I think initial funding was one billion dollars. I don't know all the ins and outs of a stock swap, maybe that could be done, (with Dell stock tanking as what momo players are left bail), otherwise it costs IBM 150B+ (assuming a 20-25% premium for Dell shares) to get 20B in revenues. No way they would do that (or could do that) in my opinion. Rudedog's comment of a 'virtual corp' makes more sense. It will be interesting to see what unfolds. If IBM and Dell did link up very closely, that would be quite a bit of technology, cash flow, and market share for CPQ to fight....
