Paul, thanks for the comments and the link. The more I look at Oil an Oil Service, I feel that this is one of the great contrarian plays of all time. Oil is so universally dismissed, that it can only go up from here. While the staying power of increase in the price of oil may well be suspect for now, I strongly feel that we are very close to the bottom. The real question is how long we will stay here before the big upswing occurs.
As far as oil prices affecting airline stocks, I think that is a lesser factor. True, avaition fuel is a major component of airlines expenses, but I envision a gradual rise in the price of oil, not any sharp or sustained spike. I traded FGI a bit, made real nice money on it and RDC. Probably should have held some. Then again, I can always buy it back. ggg larry

oils

my oh my ... that is the first time I can recall ... in many many moons, a decent word from you Paul, on this sector.

I could read the free newsletters, but I would not trust them as much as I trust your knowledge and instincts in the field.

Thanks for the input.

Maybe time to re-bookmark the oil thread again ... is it still as good as it used to be a year ago or so?
