George,

I have been wondering that same thing myself. One of the things that people who have been very successful in investing (Peter Lynch, Warren Buffett, etc) is quality of management and faith in them. As a small investor it is not often that I have access to management but if I felt they were dishonest I would not hold the stock.

George E. in his posts has pretty much said he is disappointed in DCI's management, does not believe them, etc. etc. So if he is still a shareholder as he claims in his posts it leads to me a couple of conclusions.

1. He definitely should take the Village Idiot title from Ernie. To still hold a stock when you do not trust or believe in the management is crazy to me! Management, along with the great growth of the company, are the two main reasons I own the company.

2. He does not completely believe all the information that is being fed to him, so he continues to hold.

3. He has some small amount of shares (100 or so) so he can still claim to be a shareholder and continue to enlighten all the rest of us on the board.

4. Some combination of the above.

I just love the people on SI who feel it is necessary to tell other people what a bad investment they think they made. You think they would have something better to do.

AV

George, I do not understand your "dogpile on negative posters" attitude. After your experience with Rick on the CCEE board, I would think that you, of all people, would be a little more open to criticism of stocks you hold. I have taken a small position in this stock with some profits from EFAX and am curious to hear all sides. I don't want to see nothing but rah-rah quotes from long-time holders who seem to be "wishing" this stock upwards.

My friend, having read your post, responed to me as follows (his words, not mine):

This L-link thing that George posted has nothing to do with I-link:
i-linkww.com

He can say what he wants, but I'm telling you I use it and it is great.
I hear they had a shaky start service wise, but everything I have tried
so far has been flawless. I think it is going to catch on big time. It
is to regular phone service as bulletin board services are to the
internet--way, way ahead. And if I-link is not the one that makes
telecommunications change, it will be someone else doing something
similar. It will happen and soon.

As far as my reason for posting those items: Although there is a modicum of "general
overview" validity in the article he linked,

That's actually a fair statement. That's all I intended, "general overview." I wasn't trying to scare anyone who is presently invested in DCTC. Goodness, management is scary enough. They certainly don't need any help from me.

And, no, I am not now, nor have I ever been short in this or any other stock. Anyone who wants to pay for the priviledge is welcome to examine my brokerage records for about the last ten years or so.
