on ebay - auctions are a compelling process but i think software bots could take this over and save everyone the hassle of bidding and auctioning, let the software buy for you based on parameters .. and while the first mover status is usually an advantage in any internet segment if first movers don't continue moving then they get surpassed by newer nimble entrants i am a fan of ebay the firm but have never believed ebay's valuation matched its outlook in my opinion...so far i've been wrong on that as ebay stock keeps soaring -- but we'll see where it's at in 3 years...they have a chance and have a great lead...
