About a week or so ago my neighbor called me to say a lengthy enclosure was in their [H &W's] latest statement from Fleet. It stated that Fleet was now 100% ready for Y2K.

The issue of developing countries being unable to be Y2K compliant has always been my major concern. We in developed nations have the assets to make the necessary upgrades and purchases in our own countries. Many of developing countries depend on receiving externally donated equipment (cast-offs) or development projects that include equipment nd training from the likes of various U.N. organizations, the IMF, World Bank, U.S.A.I.D., European development organizations.
