(OTC BB: SUNR - news) is proud to announce the appointment of Steven R. Davis of Evergreen, Colorado, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Davis is a minerals geologist with an extensive career in the mining industries of the United States, Canada, and Latin America. His career includes over 32 years of exploration, development and production activities, including a total of 20 years with ASARCO, Inc. (NYSE: AS - news) and Homestake Mining Company (NYSE: HM - news), two of the nation's premier precious- and base-metals mining companies, with extensive domestic and international operations. Mr. Davis brings to Sun River valuable experience and insight into the minerals industry, as well as a strong Latin American background. Mr. Davis has held numerous management positions in his career, including Regional Geologist, Manager of Exploration Projects and Manager of Central Great Basin Exploration for Homestake Mining Company; Vice President of Exploration for Mallon Resources (Costa Rica); and Director of Exploration/Vice President of Operations for Zamora Gold Corp./ Comcumay, S.A. Former President Randy McCall will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Sun River.
