(OTC BB: SUNR - news) is proud to announce the appointment of Steven R. Davis of Evergreen, Colorado, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Davis is a minerals geologist with an extensive career in the mining industries of the United States, Canada, and Latin America. His career includes over 32 years of exploration, development and production activities, including a total of 20 years with ASARCO, Inc. (NYSE: AS - news) and Homestake Mining Company (NYSE: HM - news), two of the nation's premier precious- and base-metals mining companies, with extensive domestic and international operations. Mr. Davis brings to Sun River valuable experience and insight into the minerals industry, as well as a strong Latin American background. Mr. Davis has held numerous management positions in his career, including Regional Geologist, Manager of Exploration Projects and Manager of Central Great Basin Exploration for Homestake Mining Company; Vice President of Exploration for Mallon Resources (Costa Rica); and Director of Exploration/Vice President of Operations for Zamora Gold Corp./ Comcumay, S.A. (Ecuador). While in these positions, he has been responsible for the discovery and development of several deposits, including substantial deposits of both precious and base metals. With the assistance of Joseph R. Wojcik, formerly of Watts, Griffis and McOuat Limited (Denver), the recently appointed Vice President of Exploration and Mining Development for Sun River Mining, Mr. Davis will direct the ongoing company activities in Bolivia, and initiate and maintain a research and evaluation effort for identifying and acquiring other high-quality mineral properties in North, Central and South America. Former President Randy McCall will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Sun River.
