gvander, of course there might always be additional advances in battery technology as well, but these guys are getting pretty close to the theoretical limit (as a matter of fact, the number given here by Fred a little while ago, of 500 wh/kg (if memory serves) was already a little above the theoretical limit). I think that if the lithium polymer people exploit the window of opportunity they have, they can establish themselves in a very rapidly growing segment, and any other revolutionary new technology will have to go through the phases of "show me" just as the Li polymer people are right now. Of course, those that are in good financial shape (like ULBI) will be able to exploit the opportunities better than does that are not (like VLNC and LITH), but there should be enough dough for all that survive and keep watching operating margins. I definitely agree with you that this is a buyers market and the buyers will dictate the prices and the margins.
