-g- ... ah yes, but look at the side benefits, how we get our yayas out on the threads. If the Serbs could just get online and pick themselves a stock, look what they could save in tank and shell costs. They have to bury their bodies - here we just stash them on junk threads like krt ... like this one [sorry if it stinks a bit] - #reply-5484233

1. They are grouting the holes. They were last year, i've heard that they are this year, and i think there's a report upthread a week or so ago to that effect. It does slow down the drilling somewhat.

2. I hear that the economics of underground mining change significantly in crossing under a 1.5-2.0 metre thickness ... of course, if the numbers add up you can mine a six-inch vein, it's been done, and money made off it.

What would you estimate for a mining cost here - just mining, as in delivery to pithead ... assuming say 10mil tonnes of 2.5m thickness at a dip of 15 degrees, at a production rate of 1500t/d, ignoring the opencast start? .... and would you expect room and pillar to be the way to go?

Hiya Jack,

Russett already told you they are cementing every hole they drill over the lake. RT has a lot of experience when he worked for big companies failing to do just that. He knows a mine can be screwed by stupid procedures.

And yes Lorne and other doubters, we have a mine at Snap, and we will commission it before Aber and RTP does Diavik. It won't be as big at first,....but in the long run it will make a lot more money for insiders and shareholders,IMHO.

russett

good luck all, russett
