marketgems.com Last week's newsletter.. This will be the format for all our newsletters (i.e. white background,Introduction, no java, charts that are sharp and clear, no articles just links, short concise fundamental analysis (uniform presentations), fonts and template similar. Fundamental Analysis will be concise so at a glance you get the 'idea' that these stocks have gone through in depth analysis. In some cases when triple digit gains or any unusually high numbers (i.e. very high Return on Equity or particularly high margins after tax, it will be duly noted)..

The weekly calendar will have some fundamental information, the most notable being estimated % gain in EPS this quarter, in cases where next quarter looks to be even higher, that will be duly noted as well.
4 different categories are checked for fundamental analysis for our newsletter 'earnings plays':

Fundamental Criteria for earnings Plays:
1> Valuation Analysis
2> Debt Analysis (too much debt we won't include it)
3> Performance Analysis
4> Earnings Analysis (the most important) here we have 10 separate sub categories
5> Balance Sheet categories

Again unusually high numbers as high analyst's 'buy' coverage will be noted on the calendar.. This is so you can have that extra time to check out technicals and not have to worry about fundamentals, we have done that for you already. Every earnngs play will be check for technical rank by Monday Morning.. some that are still weak will be duly noted as such.

Most important of all, there will be some laggards, there might even be 1 or two 'tankers' but we won't be choosing them because our criteria for entering a trade (i.e. technical breakout, anticipatory upswing, high volume 1/30 average, will preclude these trades)..
No matter how good a company checks out there can be surprises.

We had a minor surprise in GNSS although the report was excellent and we had another surprise with WSM (still maintains excellent fundamentals) but GNSS was the only stock this week that generated a clear buy signal but was down a few points. GNSS still has good potential however, and for the more intermediate player can actually 'play' the weakness of stocks like these and they become 'after' earnings plays.
