Hi Joanie,
Your description of your time in netscape reminds me of my greatest emotional pick -- AAPL. Fortunately, I was lucky to get in while AAPL was in the teens. Held for 7 months, took my 909 and ran. Leaving it behind was one of the most difficult stock-related decisions I've ever made. Talk about being in love with a company! In my field, I have many around me that would jump on a MAC user like sharks on bait. The ridicule I would take for having the faith that AAPL would come out with an innovative product (thank you Steve Jobs) that would create a rebound was relentless. But AAPL did me right. I would be sure to announce my regular gains to my cohorts (the sporadic dips, I kept to myself). Held until I saw the 909 on my screen, and then sadly, let it go. The dividend is still there though. Whenever the cohorts start to give me a hard time about the MAC...well, I just remind them of the 7-month 909! Thank you SJ and AAPL for being there like the boys at the Alamo!
909's,
-Joe
