Hi Eric,

I first started studying this concept somewhere around 93-94, when IBD published a "Ticker Tape Analysis" every day

I found a flaw in their data, where it could not be possible that a stock had positive IMF that day based on the data reported.

I expected a lifetime subscription to IBD, but HA, HA, HA.

I was really ticked off, (pardon the pun) when IBD stopped publishing those figures.

I went and bought TS and downloaded their tick files every day and have gone through a process of studying these figures very closely for the last few years.

I think there is major merit to this type of analysis. However, based on the studies that I have done, trying to amalgamate an opinion on what the "market" is going to do is fruitless.

Now, I don't have data back from '87 or whatever, but I think that the key is that when you have a buy signal from other methods, intraday
tick flow analysis is very important in terms of what stocks to get involved with.

Thanks for the great posts on Birinyi. He's a nut, apparently.
