<<I'm crushed! A 60's throwback sounds great about now! Does it have anything to do with the Cobra back-packing trip to Montana?>>

LOL! (and fond memories). No, Mr. A; it preceeds that a little. I'll give you a peek: I have it from a *good (cosmic) source* that Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride was really about early rocket voyage, Janis Joplin's Me & Bobby McGee was a ballad about her brief but exciting relationship with one of the pioneer sat engineers, and Cream's In The White Room described Clapton and Company's visit to a launch control center. Also, "spaced out" and "tripping" relate to The Master's (including The Great Jimi, of course) interest in the space industry (although there is some debate as to whether the reference is to "inner" or "outer"). My source also confirmed that Hendrix's frequent mention of playing his *axe* had nothing at all to do with fixed/mobil exchange switching systems, thank goodness. He was a sat puritan, as further evidenced by All Along The Watchtower.

There, you have a glimpse. There was much, much more but I felt we needed to move into it gradually. Now, the most important question: Is there really a Rock n' Roll Heaven? And if you get far enough out into space, can one hear the music of The Masters?

Best. ; )
