Ken, I wish I could figure out when Y2K stocks were going to get noticed. . .it seems inevitable. . .but it never seems to happen. At the same time, there are now short plays on many of the Y2K names, like SEEC, ALYD, CHRZ, PLAT, etc. . .pushing them to some pretty low prices along with the tiny IAIC.

Near-term, there is a chance of some large failures on April 1, as this marks the start of the second calendar quarter, which means the closing of the the first calendar quarter. I don't think it will be bad.

I think that any significant Y2K failures will happen when we LEAST expect them. . . however, I have noticed lots of testing going on without notice. . .especially with utilities. No idea whether panic will drive these stocks north any time soon. Outages can easily be blamed on Y2K failures. . .heck, anything can be blamed on Y2k, El Nino and Bill Clinton.
