"China would go GSM; since the Chinese army controls, it seemed to me that it would want secure communications available with cdma digital." I have not introduced TDMA re your topic. You say: "Maybe, the media was incorrect, but I do recall a local TV report (about 6 to 9 months ago, as near as I can recall) that did mention one of the local GSM carriers as having been subject to some problems. That is my recollection." Check it out! Perhaps you misunderstood the media? Perhaps you misunderstood th issues the media was dealing with? - Eric -
