Dear Edamo,
I do know that you make money only in buying puts if the stock goes down and you sell before it goes up again. Thats why I said maybe MSFT did a short term play if it was down a while (although it seems to have been in a mostly up trend: the only down trend was during late Feb and early March).
I can see your point though if a company was buying its own puts that is pretty bearish. The article must have made a mistake then and meant that Msft, as Dell profited by selling puts.
Is Dell a buying opp. right now?
