I think Compaq will certainly offer the K7. A couple of things that I find interesting are that if they can link 120 Alpha CPUs, they should be able to link 120 K7 CPUs. Also, the current Alpha runs at 600 Mhz on a 0.35u process and is projected to run at 800 Mhz on a 0.25u. That should bode well for AMD K7 speed splits.

The EV8 is projected to run at 1.4 Ghz in 2001, with a specfp of 300. That's some crazy performance.
