Compuware and UniComp Announce $1.25 Million Distribution Agreement for uniPims Human Resources Planning and Management System
MARIETTA, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 1999--

Agreement Represents New Enterprise Software Solution

for Compuware's UNIFACE Component Plaza

UniComp, Inc. (NASDAQ:UCMP) and Compuware (NASDAQ:CPWR) Asia Pacific, have signed an agreement to distribute UniComp's uniPims human resource planning and scheduling solution developed by UniComp in Compuware's UNIFACE development environment. The new agreement with guaranteed minimum revenues of over 1.25 million to UniComp, represents a further addition to Compuware's UNIFACE Component Plaza, a collection of UNIFACE developed applications and components by Compuware business partners.

UniPims' rostering and time and attendance package has been developed to meet the sophisticated requirements of organizations with a large workforce and flexible working hours that need to optimize their workforce planning. Under the terms of the agreement, Compuware will market, install and support uniPims in the Asia Pacific region.

"UniPims builds on the success of other UNIFACE-developed applications in the Component Plaza and enhances the integrated suite of enterprise applications available to our clients," said Compuware Solutions National Manager Daniel Sheahan. "One of the key features of the uniPims' system is its rostering module which generates, manages and monitors shift work rosters and includes a modeling system to match jobs with employees. Now organizations can easily maximize productivity and minimize costs by using the most efficient allocation of workforce resources. It's a unique productivity tool for large service organizations," he added.

"This relationship with Compuware in the Asia-Pacific region is the beginning of what we believe to be a world-wide strategic alliance and represents UniComp's first step in establishing an Australian office," said UniComp President and CEO Stephen Hafer. "UniComp will continue to develop additional software products under Compuware's UNIFACE development environment and Compuware will work with our organization to bring them to market."

Jeffrey, comments on news about IBM & Microsoft investing in China...

re-posted from Club Fatt thread:

Sprintcar, thanks: it confirms how big Internet will be in China...

and that any investor taking early positions in the right Companies will be richly rewarded. Investing in IBM or Microsoft won't cut it since the Chinese component of their income will be insignificant in relation to their overall revenue.

That leaves only a handful of smaller public Companies, such as ZSUN, XNET, GTCI and IMOT, in my order of preference, whose revenues are entirely Asian Internet related. To get an idea where the value of these Companies is headed, check Pacific Internet PCNTF, a recent IPO at $17.00, up nearly 300% at 48.00 and change. I would actually prefer ZSUN to it anytime!

Fatt, congratulation on your Web site! Are you studying computers at school?
