Technical tidbit for those who are caught short. OK shorts listen up. When a market is in a major up turn, buy calls for the first and third quarters! This will prevent some embarassing positioning.I have included some things to look for when identifying a "short" position. Put option selection: 1.Select a weak sector or Industry group 2.Identify major market downtrend 3.Narrow the selection to technically weak companies (this is key) 4.Select companies with low option volatility 5.Time put option purchase with daily oversold momentum crossover
