For those interested in the AOL/NSCP deal, I have posted an illustrative valuation and pro forma of the deal developed with our proprietary software. In terms of announced transactions, AOL got NSCP fairly inexpensively considering the large cache of proprietary technology and extant registered users in the deal. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to hunt down specific option grants and outstanding contracts for absolute accuracy, but I will gladly update the analysis if anyone here can supply the info and verify its source.

I also recommend the "Case Against Earnings" article in regards to my opinion on tech stock valuation and the foolish adherence to the EPS figure required in practically every M&A deal -
