I'm not sure how to take that kind of spin by the EC, or a "Professor Environmental Medicine". I did a brief checking on how IGF-1 relates to cows and milk. Apparently it is already there...am I to believe something inherent in milk itself causes cancer? If this is true, even without a boost in IGF, how would I know if milk was safe? Disquieting...and odd...considering we have drunk milk for a very long time. The other thing very bothersome is what I have learned about the EC/EU over the past few weeks: there are anti-US, anti-capitalist, and anti-US-agricultural themes (this isn't a random statement...I've dug directly into sources from a number of European groups themselves, who seem to have loud political voices). To make things worse, all the EU/EC leaders were thrown out of office recently, and now there is this kind of report coming out of the very group which is being called "corrupt" by Europe itself! Are we to trust a report from a fallen EU government...over the US FDA, American Cancer Society, and others? I'm very disturbed by the odd pieces of this puzzle...otherwise I might consider this story more credible. Also disturbing in this article is no mention of Lilly, who also makes this hormone. If this were an objective scientist, why mention Monsanto specifically in the title, and not Lilly? It seems to me the title is meant to be alarming, which wouldn't be a professionally sound thing for someone in this position to publish. Something stinks here...really badly. I frankly don't know how to put all these pieces together...but right now I'm going to trust the US and FDA since so many other things I eat and drink depend on it.
