Re: Dell. The "income" calculated for the Forbes quote was (most probably, I'm surmising) based on the discount they got when they exercised the call options. Put sale .vs. call buying is not a big dollar difference, but the formal "profit" would be. But they don't pocket the profit, the stock buybacks are done at last year's stock price.
Can be found in latest 10K, you don't have to wait.
I don't know as much about Microsoft situation.
