Accelerated Certification Program Puts Partners on Fast Track to Advanced Product Knowledge, Enhanced Customer Service Capabilities and Increased Sales
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Network Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq: NETA) today announced the success of the Q1 Tech Forum, a quarterly technical training program for the company's channel partners, held March 7-13 in Orlando, Florida. More than 100 representatives from the industry's leading resellers, value-added resellers and solutions integrators participated in the program, including Anixter International, Inc.(NYSE: AXE), Cohesive, Digital Business Systems, Entex, GE Capital, KPMG, Management Communication Services, NCI Information Systems and Paragon Development Systems. Participants received hands-on installation, configuration and administration training for Network Associates' best-of-breed network security and network management products, including Total Network Security, Total Service Desk and Total Network Visibility product suites. Upon completing the Tech Forum training, Network Associates provided each participant with a voucher for free certification testing at an independent testing center. Training participants who pass the exam become official Network Associates Certified Professionals. Tech Forum boasts a substantial success rate, with more than 70% of participants passing the Certified Professionals exam. Resellers, value-added resellers and systems integrators with Network Associates Certified Professionals on staff can become eligible for special product discounts, increased access to qualified sales leads, marketing support, market development funds and dedicated support staff from Network Associates. This unique approach to partner training quickly prepares participants for certification and enhances their customer service capabilities in one week, versus the traditional six- to eight- week programs that other vendorsoffer. The multi-track nature of the program allows partners to solidify their knowledge of the products most relevant to their business needs from Network Associates diverse product family of network management solutions. To ensure focused, hands-on learning, Network Associates limits Tech Forum class sizes to 12 participants each.
