Hi Gord......
Unfortunately there is no Nat Gas anywhere even close to WSP.
The closest is in Norman Wells where a small amount is produced as a by product from the oil refining operations of Imperial Oil (Esso).
Over the years, there have been several attempts to locate the stuff in various drill programs east of Norman Wells, but to date, nothing economically viable has been found, to the best of my knowledge.

You have to go along way from Camsell and lac du gras before you encounter any gas and oil because all that area is canadain shield. When you get towards Mackenzie valley you get into the sediments and the nearest producing field is at Norman Wells on the Mackenzie River. In fact their main wells currently producing are on artifical Islands in the middle of the river.

Samples from the 3.5 inch drill cores will start being shipped to lakefield this week and the turn around will be very quick as lakefield is not that busy.
