the reference was to the quote in this wk's barrons by MD WHICH IS NOT NEW NEWS OR INFO...he simply reiterated a "gentle decline" in the rate of growth of the industry...and of course of dell as well...SINCE A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY CANNOT DOUBLE IN SIZE AS QUICKLY AS A MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY. LET'S ALL KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS THE MOMOS BUYING SEASON FOR PC/TECH STOCKS...lowest Q of the year, lots of hype around Y2K, warnings, PIII, etc...THEY ARE BUYING TODAY...huge lots are being bought at each level from 38 1/2 down. YES, OF COURSE IT IS A BUYING OPP!!! there is NOTHING WRONG WITH DELL! and don't forget the IBM ace up MD's sleeve...YOU ALL NEED TO REMEMBER THERE ARE MANY SHOES LEFT TO DROP ON THAT DEAL!!! IBM does not make CASUAL 7 year deals, nor does MD! Regarding insiders selling cuz they knew something...come on! they sell periodically, PERIOD. don't read into the hype or you will be scared out of your shares...and the momos are buying them back as you are selling them ... hang in there and remember, Merrill Lynch is losing out to most of its competition right now FOR GOOD REASON, LIKE BUM CALLS like this morning. all of this JMO, trying to help calm the masses here...DELL WILL BE JUST FINE. good chance to average down your share price if you bought recently (for higher).
