<< probably losing money "HAND OVER WALLET" >>

Easy big fella.

Zacks consensus is -.18 for the quarter. With all the potential for forward revenue enhancement with K6-III and K7, that sized loss is not the end of the world. It certainly wouldn't match your description.

dbereres - Re: " I would be careful to not underestimate the value of the installed base of "3D NOW" ready machines that AMD is achieving. It may become an almost insurmountable obstacle for iNTEL to overcome. "

It is already overcome.

The number of software applications supporting Pentium III/SSE already exceeds those that support 3dNOW - despite the fact that 90% of the 3DNOW apps are games.

By the end of this year, Pentium III installed base will be close to the 3DNOW base - and the Pentium III software titles will totally eclipse the paltry number of 3DNOW titles.

STAY TUNED !!!!
