I've heard of a "ramdrive", but I'm not sure exactly what it does. Did you find your DOS "console"? It's the DOS virtual machine that you can access in numerous ways -- one way is to go into Start/Progrmas/MS DOS Prompt, which brings up a DOS screen which might make you feel more at home.

Alternatively, you can shut down the machine and choose "restart in MS DOS mode".

Or, you can restart the computer and when you see "verifying DMI Pool", hit F8 and choose "command prompt only".

Or, I think you can just boot to a DOS floppy (?).

Are you aware of the "FIND" function on the start menu? It's extremely valuable at times and has some nice features that are worth exploring. Also, check in the manual for details on its' use. I used it to search for files named RAMDRIVE and there is one named RAMDRIVE.SYS located in each of two separate folders.

Don't know if this helps...
