To All, Brown & Co. alert. I have my IRA with Brown and just noticed that the net site does not count long options when figuring the position value in the account. Or, at least they don't on my account. This is the smallest portfolio I manage (it is actually 3 small portfolios) and I hadn't paid much attention. But as I've been taking profitable rolldowns and built the 10% of the 90/10 up close to a full investment, I noticed that my account value kept declining. I finally reconciled the two factors and found that they were undercounting what amounts to a chunk of my total capital on the web site. It is done correctly on the monthly statement.

The reason I mention this is that I may not be the only one with a long option account at Brown and it is a bit disconcerting to be winning and watch the net worth decline in the Account Balance report. <g>
