PPOD - Check this from the news: Management is orchestrating a new business model, which appears very promising. It entails utilizing centralized distribution and the latest technology for order fulfillment.

Yeah! Strawberries shipped to your home from the central warehouse in Oklahoma or South Dakota or Timbuktu.... That ought to work.

If they could get every Safeway, Luckys, Ralphs, etc. (majors) to subscribe and provide their own fleet of minivans, and somehow make it all cost effective, maybe they'd have a chance. Everyone KNOWS to check out AMZN for books. If everyone knew to check out PPOD for groceries and delivery were fast, cheap, safe (for the drivers), simple, and the customer service department would take back the bruised bananas, PPOD might have a chance. I don't this this will happen. Small margin product; high cost delivery.
